Google Play to Display AI-Powered FAQs and Recent YouTube Videos for Games

Google Play listings for games will now include a variety of new features, including FAQs enabled by artificial intelligence, the ability to display the most recent YouTube videos, support for native PC game publishing, and new immersive ad formats. The announcements were made in San Francisco during the Google for Games Developer Summit.

In order to attract more users, the company is publishing new tools associated with Play Store listings as part of the announcement. By incorporating promotions and the most recent YouTube videos directly into their listings, developers have the ability to showcase them to users within the Games tab of the Play Store.

Additionally, Google is integrating AI-powered FAQs into the English-language information page for the game. These features are presently being rolled out to a restricted group of developers. For some time, the organization had been conducting tests on the Play Store for non-game applications using FAQ answers generated by artificial intelligence.

Additionally, game developers will be granted the ability to utilize Play Points, which were introduced in 2019 as the rewards program for the Play Store, to access exclusive in-app offers. Additionally, Play Points will enter the Brazilian market this year. The rewards program now has over 220 million members in over 35 markets, according to the company.

New ad products

Ads continue to generate the preponderance of Google’s revenue. The company is introducing new advertising options for game developers for this reason. A prominent announcement made today is the implementation of comprehensive in-game advertisements, which Google asserts seamlessly integrate into the game environment regardless of the genre. By utilizing its AdMob platform, the organization presents this structure, incorporating positioning locations such as intermission breaks and level advancements.

Additionally, it promotes tools that enable developers to encourage purchases. By means of a default uninstaller list, it enables game developers to ascertain which users have removed the application. Additionally, developers now have the ability to focus on specific user segments, such as lapsed payers, non-purchasing users, or participants who have not been notified via text notifications for the past seven days.

Support for PC games

Google has expanded the availability of its Play Games for PC program to over 120 countries in recent years. Initiated to enable users to run Android apps on their computers, the program was developed. Publishers will soon be permitted to upload native PC games to the Play Store. According to Google, “Lineage2M,” “Odin: Valhalla Rising,” “Genshin Impact,” and “Dragonheir: Silent Gods” are presently accessible, while the release of “Solo Leveling: Arise” is planned for a later period of the year.
